Grassroots momentum in the final few weeks of the election: 105,455 new donors and an average online contribution of under $40
Tim Ryan’s campaign for U.S. Senate raised $17.2 million in the third quarter of 2022, nearly double the campaign’s previous record-breaking haul of $9.1 million in the second quarter (which more than doubled the prior record he set in Q1).
“While San Francisco fraud JD Vance relies on his out-of-state allies to bail out his struggling campaign, we’re proud to have grassroots support from Ohioans in all 88 counties who know Tim is the only candidate who will fight for them in the Senate,” said Tim for Ohio spokesperson Jordan Fuja. “With Election Day nearing, we couldn’t be prouder of the strong and growing grassroots team that has powered our campaign since day one.”
105,455 new donors contributed to Tim’s campaign this quarter, and the average online donation was just $39.57. More than 95% of donations were at $100 or less.
Tim’s unprecedented Q3 numbers come as numerous polls show the race neck-and-neck, or with Tim narrowly ahead, and with leading elections analysts shifting the race in his direction. The recently released Siena College poll shows Tim leading JD Vance 46% to 43%, and dominating with key voting demographics. Tim leads JD 47% to 35% with independents and 54% to 34% with women respectively.
